Greece and especially the Greek islands are paradise. I
spend most of the year here and I hardly ever regret it.
OK, sometimes I do get jealous when the UK gets all the
cool rain and we sit here on our little island and suffer
40 degrees. And it's not just the weather. I have to drink
cold Lager instead of warm Ale and it is kinda difficult to
get some decent Fish and Chips, but let me assure you dear
reader: One get's compensated for these shortcomings.
This website is dedicated to people who want to explore the Greek islands. The best way to do it is with a backpack. You'll always find a place to crash, Greece still is reasonably cheap and the weather is just cool (hot). The locals are friendly and nearly everyone here speaks fluent English. Everything I write here obviously is affected by my personal taste and opinion. I still try to be correct and all the information was written down to the best of my knowledge. If you find a mistake please don't hesitate to contact me. The website is divided into general information about Greece and the descriptions to the various islands and locations. The order they are in is a result of the island groups they belong to.
The site is growing. If you miss something just be patient. I
live opposite an almost perfect beach on South Crete so
you'll understand I don't want to spend all day on my
computer.
