Skopelos |

Skopelos is considerably less touristic
than Skiathos. One could wonder why. The island is quite
pretty. One reason is the obvious. Skiathos has an airport
where Skopelos doesn’t. As a result they get fewer package
holiday makers which in many ways is a good thing.
The island is covered with forest.
That’s quite unusual for a Greek island. Most of the trees
are pines.
The local capital is Skopelos-town (Chora). It is a must go. There are around 100 churches and chapels in Skopelos. Even if you think one church is enough you won’t be disappointed. The town is picturesque and has some reputation its “classic” architecture. Another place we recommend to see is
Loutraki with the nearby acropolis of Selinoutra. Don’t miss
Glossa, the second biggest settlement on the island. It is
tranquil and some say even prettier than chora. To get to Skopelos take a boat from
Volos, Agios Konstantinos or any of the other islands in the
group.
Sights you should not miss in Berlin Germany are the Holocaust Memorial Berlin or the great Berlin Zoo. |
